Aye, aye, aye....
These first few weeks of school are kind killing my free time. I am getting back into the groove of teaching, but have not found the after school, home groove. Seems like we are always on the go. Homework, supper, karate, read, bed. Repeat everyday at 3:45 pm (except Tuesdays and Fridays).
One good thing (for me) is that the boys have been grounded from t.v. and wii for the past week. They were naughty on their dad's watch and they got the goods. Oh well, it has been very quiet here this week...the t.v. cabinet has been closed...nice. There have been lots of books read, games played and laughter. I'm almost tempted to try no t.v. during the week, but I think I will be vetoed.
Hopefully soon I will have pictures of "things" that I created.

I know how you feel. The beginning of the school year is so hectic. I didn't become a teacher until my kids were in high school, and I am amazed by teachers who work with kids all day and then go home to more kids!
We didn't have a tv until my kids were teens, and it's one of the few things I'd say I did right as a parent! Both of my kids are voracious readers. Now if only I could go back and redo a few other things ...!
It does seem that there is almost no time for anything after school these days.
Hey Kari, I'm glad you guys are off to a good start. Less TV has been a good thing around here, too. There has still been plenty of video games (James), though, and I'm sure it will increase again over the winter.
I miss you! I hope we can have a coffee meet up sometime soon. (although I might have a little one with me unless we do evening.) :)
