See that? It's a piece of macaroni. Yes, macaroni under my fingernail AND it hurts like hell. I did it yesterday while doing the prior nights pots and pans. I sometimes don't do the pans until the next morning if the dishwasher is full. I know, it should be ingrained in me to do all of the dishes when they are made BUT I just don't. Sorry Mom.
Tylenol was not cutting the pain so I took an Aleve (calm down everyone - I already got the lecture about warfarin, blah, blah, blah) BUT it HURTS!!!!! And guess what? The Aleve isn't making it feel any better.

Roughlock Falls, SD
I loved this place. The sound of the Falls was deafening and lovely at the same time - so peaceful. We played in the water above the falls. There were little rapids and calms (is there a such thing?) where the boys tried to catch fingerling trout.
The water was pins and needles cold and quickly turned our legs numb!
Slowly getting back to normal *
We are back from a trip to the Badlands with my Mom and Dad. It was fun and we saw/did so much. The weather was good (HOT) - if you care to know.
I finally have all of the trip laundry complete and we are getting back to our summer schedule (very loose). AND I just want to stay home for a while crazy as that sounds. I need to become re-acquainted with my sewing machine, yarn, garden and some good books. Feel free to stop over, we'll probably be around.
I took over 600 pictures in 9 days - that's quite a few for me. I am slowly editing them - if I spend too much time on the computer, the boys get a little crazy and then there's yelling... and crying... and general bad feelings.
That being said, I am going to be posting mostly pictures the next few days (weeks).
* as normal as it gets for us!
